They say, ‘When you find a good masseuse, never ever let them go’ Well, Gosia is the best I’ve ever met, so brilliant at tuning in and amalgamating with the body’s needs, and delivering just what it requires.
The Gosia body massage experience is so good, we book her almost every week to come to our place to myself and my husband.
Gosia works her magic and the experience is amazing.
She is also a very lovely human – kind, accommodating, intuitive, with a wicked sense of humour.

I received an essential oils massage from Gosia and I thoroughly enjoyed it. She was very professional and paid a great deal of attention to finer details such as explaining what is massage, how she is going to deliver it and how these oils are made. I would recommend Gosia to anyone who is interested. It is clear that she is very passionate about her job and this reflects directly on the treatment. I look forward to more massages like the one I had.

When I went to visit Gosia I had a pain in my lower back and for that reason I was very much stressed. The massage she did not only help to relieve my lower back pain, she got to ease my stress with her oils and relaxing massage. I felt really good after the treatment so I would highly recommend Gosia to people with same or similar problems as me.

Frequently Asked Questions

Massage therapy is defined as the manual manipulation of muscle tissue, connective tissue, ligaments and tendons to increase the health and well-being of an individual. There are dozens of different methods used within massage therapy called modalities.

Many people will seek massage therapy to help with reducing stress, relaxing, reducing pain, rehabilitation from an injury or simply to promote better health and wellness. Massage therapy has been used for centuries by many cultures around the world to help improve overall wellbeing and health.

Your professional initial consultation enables me to cover areas such as medical history, lifestyle and stress and enables me to gather valuable information to deliver great results in the minimum time. The treatment is personally designed for you and your lifestyle.

Following an initial consultation where I check the client’s health for any contra-indications, the client will be left to get undressed in private.

During the massage treatment the client will lie on a plinth and will be fully covered by towels or blankets, with only the body part being worked on at the time remaining exposed. Oil and essential oils are used during the massage to lubricate the muscles being worked on.

A massage is defined as applying pressure on the body with hands, fingers, elbows, forearms.

Treatments are recommended for people of all ages.

A massage can be used to relieve pain or stress and has become a common form of relaxation.

Please inform your therapist if you have any present medical conditions (e.g. recent accidents, pregnancy etc.), if you are on any medication or have any allergies.

Following your treatment I give you appropriate after-care advice and tools suited to your lifestyle that help prolong the benefits of relaxation and help with the ongoing management of pain and discomfort, where appropriate we can work in conjunction with experts in the field to which you may already be referred.

Some conditions require special consideration during a massage session. These are referred to as local contraindications, which means that while a massage therapist can still provide a massage, they must be cautious and avoid working on areas affected by these conditions. Common local contraindications include:

  1. Cuts or open wounds
  2. Bruises
  3. Varicose veins
  4. Broken bones
  5. Burns
  6. Certain skin conditions

If you have any of these contraindications and wish to receive a massage, it is crucial to inform your therapist. They will make every effort to work around these areas, but if the conditions are severe, it may be inadvisable to proceed with the massage. In such cases, the therapist retains the right to decline treatment to maintain health and safety standards.

Additionally, some contraindications are more specific and should prevent you from receiving a massage altogether. These contraindications could exacerbate existing issues, making your condition worse. They include:

  • Fever

Whenever you have a fever, whether it’s due to a cold, the flu, or another infection, it is not advisable to get a massage. Massage can increase circulation, potentially worsening the fever and the underlying infection.

  • Contagious Diseases

If you have a contagious disease, receiving a massage puts your therapist and other clients at risk of contracting it. To ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved, it’s important to be considerate and cancel your massage appointment if you are dealing with a contagious condition.

  • Uncontrolled Hypertension

Massage increases blood flow. If you have high blood pressure that is not under control, the increased blood flow that is a result of massage therapy may cause problems.

  • Blood clots

Massage therapy has the potential to dislodge blood clots, which poses a significant risk as these clots can migrate to critical organs such as the brain, lungs, or heart. If you are aware of the presence of any blood clots in your body, it is crucial to consult with your doctor before receiving a massage. They can assess your specific condition and determine whether massage therapy is safe for you, taking into account the potential risks and complications associated with your blood clot. Your health and safety should always be the top priority when considering massage therapy in such cases.
